The West Central Region of NATS will hold its annual auditions on November 2-3 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, NE.

2018 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS:

•  High School Master Class with guest artist Nancy Bos

• “The Thriving Independent Studio” —a special session with Q&A for independent studio teachers and interested students presented by guest artist Nancy Bos

•  “Vocal Health from an ENT’s Perspective” (featuring a discussion and a live scope) presented by Dr. Christopher Bingcang, an ENT-Otolaryngologist specializing in treating singers

•  College Music Theatre Master Class with Alisa Belflower

•  Micro Recital presented by featured guest artist currently under contract with the Metropolitan Opera, baritone Steven Condy

•  College Classical Master Class with guest artist Steven Condy, who is appearing courtesy of the Metropolitan Opera

• “American Art Song in the 21st-Century” presented by guest artist, award-winning composer, and co-founder of MusicSpoke, an innovative online marketplace where classical composers sell sheet music directly to the consumer

•  Current Research presented by West Central NATS members

•  Optional Opera Performance: UNL Opera is offering discounted, advanced purchase tickets to their production of THE RETURN OF ULYSSES (Claudio Monteverdi) on Friday night November 2.

•  Optional Music Theatre Performance: the Lied Center is offering discounted, advanced purchase tickets to the national equity tour’s performance of the musical SPAMALOT on Saturday at 2 PM or 7:30 PM
